Exhibit U offers a wide array of print formats and options, but Dye Sublimation is definitely our most versatile print application available.
Here is why this print process works. In the Dye-sublimation process the surface of the substrate is penetrated with ink. Virtually any material containing polymers can be used. Examples of this include nylon, fabrics and many plastics. All of these polymer materials are able to absorb ink when heated.
When Should Dye-Sublimation be Used
Dye-sublimation provides beautiful and permanent colors when applied correctly. On a molecular level, these colors are literally soaked into the fabric. The colors are not printed on top. It works very similar to a tattoo. Especially when used on fabric. Images won’t fade or crack even after multiple washes.
